Day of Reason Proclamation Declared in Delaware

They did it! Nontheists in Delaware got Governor Jack Markell to declare this Thursday, May 5, to be a statewide Day of Reason. As we recently reported, Delaware CoR has the distinction of being the first CoR in 2016 to receive a Darwin Day proclamation from a state governor.

The post includes the exhortation for “all citizens, residents, and visitors to join in observing this day and focusing on the employment of reason, critical thought, the scientific method, and free inquiry into the resolution of human problems and for the welfare of human kind.”
