The Denton Atheist Meetup Group exists to meet the social needs of Freethinkers, Atheists, Agnostics, Rationalists and Skeptics for whom the existing DFW Meetups are not convenient for Denton area residents to participate in. We welcome members from all age groups and political persuasions who share a common lack of belief in gods. The Meetup was created to expand the reach of Freethought ideas beyond the UNT campus. Our meetings are usually on weekends around noon to avoid scheduling conflicts with the UNT Freethought Alliance as we have significant overlap of shared members with them. We do our best to support local businesses in selecting our Meetup locations downtown and promote our visibility as "out" nonbelievers in Denton.

UNT's Freethought Alliance is a group for free thought, geared towards discussing secular world views, challenging conceptions, promoting tolerance, encouraging skepticism, and a fostering a better general understanding of secular philosophy and the sciences. ASH is the only student organization at the University of Texas at Dallas representing those specifically with a naturalistic worldview. We are dedicated to science advocacy and the promotion of freethought. ASH has provided the community with an open forum for frank discussion on religious, scientific, philosophical, and humanist topics since 2008. We produce meetings every Friday night which are open to both members and non-members and we also sponsor many social and activist events throughout the semester.

Secular Students at Collin College

Secular Students at Collin College welcomes students of all ages and world views as well as alumni of any Collin County school, current residents of Collin County, and any member of the non-religious movement. We aim to provide a community for non-religious students, organize activities that educate Collin County and the DFW area, advocate for the separation between church and state, and demonstrate that ethics and morality can be meaningfully based on rational and humanistic ideals and values. We primarily meet at Collin College's Spring Creek Campus in Plano.
